                                                Post 5: My future Job

I don't know for sure what job I would like to have but I think it would be something related to glaciers or protected wild areas because I am currently in the elective "ecosystems in glacial environments", which is about those topics and is very entertaining. In that job outdoor work is essential, however, I would prefer it to be a little of everything, that is, work indoors and outdoors.

I would also like to have a job where I have to travel a lot, hopefully alone because honestly I don't I like the idea of going outdoors for a long time with people I do not know, that has happened before and I have had a hard time ...

Regarding salary, I would like to earn a lot of money, who doesn't? But one thing is what I want and another is reality. But hey, that is a problem that the me of the future will have to deal with. Well now that I'm talking about the future, I would like to do a master's degree in something because that way I would have a better chance of finding a job that I like, I think.

On the other hand, I think I would like to work writing books. I don't know if I'm good at it, but i love to do it . It's also not something I can't do in conjunction with a more formal job, therefore I think I could do it one day.

Post 4:What I am really into?

My hobbies in quarantine are the same as before all this happened, so this has been a good time for me. I don't do many things that can be called a hobby but I think there is something that is and that love it: In my free time I plant flowers or vegetables, it depends on the season. I like the idea of being able to grow my own vegetables because I have everything in the same place and I can also plant things that are not sold in the place where I live. At the back of my yard I have a large greenhouse where my mother and I generally plant flowers in winter so that when summer arrives they will bloom. Inside we also have some trees that we cannot leave outside because they belong to tropical environments so we try that the greenhouse climate is the closest to that. Right now I'm planting vegetables because I don't have flower seeds that are planted in these months. I have tomato plants that are medium in size (I feel like I should have planted them earlier). It's like the fifth time I've planted tomatoes, doing it here is quite a challenge. I don't know how but my dogs always manage to get somewhere and eat the tomatoes or crush the plants. When I planted them outside in a high place, they were eaten by the birds ... and so on. I hope this time it works. I've taken care of them too much so that it doesn't.

Post 3:The most embarrassing moments i'm willing to admit.

Throughout my life there have been very embarrasings moments. One of them was when I was riding a bicycle down the street and a gas delivery truck was just going around, it was very slow but I didn't want to overtake it because I wasn't going very fast either, I kept behind it. It seems that I got very close because the truck stopped suddenly and I collided with it, it did not hurt much but the truck behind had white railings that were painted with something that came off because I was left with marked scratches in the parts where I had hit it. The driver had seen everything in the rear view mirror, and my brother also saw me because he was coming after me.

Another embarrassing moment was when I crashed my uncle's car into a horse carriage. It was something too surprising at first because when you start driving do you think you can crash someone or a car, but a horse carriage? That's not what I expected. This happened in the following way: I was turning a sharp curve at a slow speed but higher than I was used to, so I could not turn at the correct angle and I crashed the horse carriage from the side. Nothing happened to the horse carriage but it made the car go in the opposite direction and I did not know how to stop it. Luckily my uncle who was next to me helped me but he could have done it much earlier and the only thing he did was laugh .Then I caused a traffic congestion. People were desperate. Me too. That was very embarrassing. Luckily nothing happened to the horses, that was what worried me the most.

Post 2:My best vacation 💞

My best vacations were in 2014 when I went for two days to Viña del Mar with my dad and my brother. Those days we stayed at the house of my aunt and we went for a boat ride, to go see the flower clock, buy crafts and going to the beach just to see the sea because it was very cold. I remember that day I forgot that when it's cloudy the sun can also burn, so I didn't put on sunscreen and I burned my face like never before, I had no idea that it could be that painful. Although that seems like the worst vacation, it really wasn't, because I had a lot of fun even though I haven't done very interesting things. Anyway, what made it the best vacation I think is the fact that I went with my dad, because we don't have a very close relationship and we've never gone on vacation together before. So I think it was good, nothing out of this world, but I had a good time.

Post 1:A country that i would like to visit.

                                                       I 💖Greece

One country that I would like to visit is Greece because it has many beautiful and interesting things to observe and photograph. Although, I do not know in depth the culture of this country, I know that it has an impressive amount of historical places, which has also been the cradle of Western civilization so it has left a huge legacy to new generations and of course, I also know about its paradisiacal islands and mythology.

If I ever go to Greece I would like to visit the Acropolis Museum, where there are very old but well preserved archaeological remains. Also, I would like to visit the temples related to the Greek gods and go to the beach of Mykonos or any of the islands of the Aegean Sea.

Although I would love to study or work there, I do not speak the language, so it would be very difficult to communicate with other people, but if in the future I manage to learn Greek, there would be no problem (if I had money to go) with studying, working or even going to live there.

Blog session 7:My favorite food

Honestly there are not many things I like to eat. Generally, the things that I like are not too elaborate such as a corn or pea salad. But thinking about it, there is a more elaborate preparation that I can name as my favorite food, although it is not something that I eat often, I love them. I am talking about humitas. I don't remember when I ate them the first time, but it was probably at my grandfather's house because his wife cooks very well and prepares them often.
Although I like them, I have never made them because it requires a lot of time and I hate cooking. I also remember that my mom prepared them once, but the humitas were not very good because she does not like to cook either and so she did not put much effort to make them good. Besides, the kitchen was a mess.
The humita has the shape of a package. This form is achieved using the corn leaves and tying them well so that the filled does not spill. The main ingredients are: ground corn, chopped onion, vegetable oil, basil, salt and some spices. Although people prepare it with different ingredients, I prefer the ones that are simpler and that do not contain butter.

Blog Session 6:Option 1

A website that I enjoy visiting is Windy. I visit it approximately every week, to see the weather where I live and to discover new things. This website can be visited from the computer or from the phone. You can download the app or enter directly without doing any installation. I prefer to use the website because it is faster than downloading.
On this website you can see the weather forecast, but there is also the option to see the animated image of the meteorological phenomenon. You can activate different types of layers depending on what you want to see. For example, if you need to know the wind speed, you can activate the layer that says wind, as well as there are layers of rain, thunder, clouds, waves, dew point, new snow and even air quality. There is also the possibility to see the coordinates of any place.
The reason why I like this website is because it shows things in a didactic way and is easy to use. The first time I had to use it was for the subject of climatology and I really liked it because I can get a lot of information from different places in the world without much effort.

Blog Session 5:A photograph i like

My favorite photo is one of Quero when he was a baby. Quero(the Brazilian way of calling this bird)is a Queltehue and our family's pet.My neighbor found him alone after her dogs made Quero's mother flee the place and never return. She gave Quero to my mom so that she could take care of him(we assume it's a male, but we don't really know).

The first days he didn't want to eat, we thought he was going to die. But he survived. He started to eat all the things we gave him, he ate all kinds of insects. It was very crazy because every time he shouted for us to feed him. At first we had him in a cage because we were afraid that the dogs would catch him. Then when he grew up and we were sure that the dogs weren't going to do anything to him, we set him free. Quero flies high but always comes back. He has a lot of trust with us, he lets us touch him.
My mom took this photo of him to keep as a memory when he grows up. I don't remember the date exactly but it seems that it was in 2018.
The reason why I like this photo is because it brings back so many beautiful memories. He was too small and innocent.I can't believe he could have survived without a mother, especially because the Queltehues are wild birds.

                                                      My second favorite photograph 💘

Blog session 4:My favorite movie

There are many movies that I like, but I've decided that my favorite is one that I had to watch a few weeks ago to do a homework for a specialization elective. The name of the movie is In Time. This is an American science fiction action and suspense film from 2011 which is set in 2161 where people do not age after they have turned twenty-five, but if they do not get time after a year, they die instantly. Time can be earned by working as if it were money. Each person has a clock in their arm and each time someone gains time, the clock has more hours, minutes or seconds. The richest people can have a century on their clock, but poor people have only minutes and a few hours.
Will Salas is a young factory worker who is accused of murder after the police found a rich man named Henry Hamilton dead. Will was not guilty; Hamilton gave him his time before committing suicide. Will goes to the richest place in the city where he meets a businessman called Philippe Weis and his daughter Sylvia. Will and Sylvia try to end the system that makes poor people die young.
The movie was directed by Andrew Niccol and the actors are Justin Timberlake as Will Salas, Amanda Seyfried as Sylvia Weis, Matt Bomer as Henry Hamilton, Vincent Kartheiser as Philippe Weis, among others.

I like this movie because it has a striking aesthetic, a good plot and because it makes us think about how we spend our time.

Blog Session 3:My favorite piece of technology💖

My favorite piece of technology is the computer because there I can do things that are very difficult to do on cell phones, such as writing in Word, making Power Point presentations, read very long texts and other things that look very small on the phone screen.

Although last year I had to use my cell phone for all of that (because the computer I had before broke down), I didn't like doing it and I had to buy a new one in June . But, my happiness with my new computer ended quickly because one day the screen went black and it didn't want to turn on (apparently I always break them 😐) .However, it could be fixed and now I can be writing this on it!

Currently I use the computer almost all day, even when I don't want to because I have to do many tasks and it takes me a long time. Although on vacations I use it for other things that entertain me a lot.

Now that I think about it, my life without a computer would be much more stressful because lately it´s harder for me to see the small letters.

 BLOG SESSION 2:WHY
DID I CHOOSE MY PROGRAM?

When i was a child i wanted to be a writer and fashion designer.

Then when I grew up I realized that I liked geography (I loved reading books about that) but I was not sure if I wanted to enter to study at university. I liked other things like biology or geology but for that I had to take the psu science test but in my school i did not learn much about that,so I decided to take the psu history test. At that time I was still not sure about studying so I gave the test without studying or waiting for anything. Then I realized that the score was enough to study geography and here I am. I think it was destiny💗

My experience at the university has been good (I thought it was not going to be like that). In fact I have a new friend!

The job that I would like is something related to territorial planning and the use of geographic information systems.
